This year has been full of changes and challenges for sure, and as a Washington DC newborn photographer, my clients and I have faced many!
I’ve loved watching how we have all adapted to life in 2020. Outdoor newborn sessions are one of the most beautiful adaptations I’ve seen families embrace in my own work. There’s just something about fresh babies and fresh air. As a newborn photographer in Washington, DC, I hope these never go away when we return to “normal.”
The way big brother’s hand gently touches mama’s face just melts my heart! What a beautiful moment of connection for this family.
As a Washington DC newborn photographer, I photograph babies of all ages. Older babies means you often get beautiful eye contact that often doesn’t happen when baby is fresh.
Look how this newborn and his big brother snuggle mama and daddy the same way!
So many details! Big brother is making sure his new brother has all ten toes! And how heartwarming is it to see your oldest begin to connect with your baby?!
It’s so special to see a newborn’s hand wrapped around his mother’s finger. I love this perspective that shows just how tiny baby is while also showing the sweet mother/baby bond.
I always make sure to capture mama and her baby and dad and his babies. It’s such a gift for mothers to have these photographs that show their whole heart in one little space.
I love these moments of connection – sweet nose boops for everyone!
In a newborn photography session, sometimes it’s easy to only focus on the baby. I make sure to capture these little moments of togetherness with mama and her firstborn.
Clothing for baby and big brother were privided by the studio wardrobe.
This session was held in the beautiful gardens at Oatlands Historic House and Gardens.
