As a maternity and newborn photographer, one of my favorite things is connecting with and serving mothers throughout the world. Though I’m currently living in the Washington, DC area, my family and I travel extensively and it’s so much fun to be able to be create art for mothers as we go. Of course, Covid-19 has somewhat grounded all of us, so instead of an international trip, my family and I chose to spend the first few weeks of summer vacation in Alaska. We’re so glad we did! What an incredibly beautiful state! And the light!! The session I’m sharing was photographed starting around 10:30 in the evening. By the time I returned to my AirBnB, at 1:00 am, there was still light outside!

I had so much fun exploring this little area, known at Beluga Point with this beautiful couple. While we didn’t see any Belugas, we enjoyed a wonderful evening with perfect weather and gorgeous views. I love that they were ready for a bit of an adventure to document their maternity. Such a beautiful way to honor the life they’ve built together while celebrating the little life to come!
