As a Northern Virignia newborn photographer, it’s always such an honor to be asked to document another photographer’s family. When Belle, of Tubelle Photography reached out, I was thrilled! She is so talented and I was honored she had chosen to work with me! Her littlest one was turning one, and she wanted some photographs to document these last few days of babyhood. As mothers, we know that it’s our job to raise our babies to be independent. To leave us. But it is so powerfully bittersweet to watch them do so.
We spent some time documenting her with all of her sweet babies. And I made sure to make sure each child had a few one-on-one moments with Mama. I know that these intimate photographs will mean so much to them as time marches on.
When we finally began to focus on Belle and her baby, he was so sleepy he fell asleep right in her arms. Oh my heart! It’s just so beautiful to watch a mother and baby together. They have such an incredible bond and respect for each other. The way her hands so gently lay on his body. The way he naturally turns into her – his safe place. We can’t always enjoy these in the moment – we’re called in so many directions. But I love that Belle was able to spend a few minutes alone with her son. Completely connected with him. And they will both have these photographs to remember these special moments forever.
I would love to help you document your own family’s story. If you would like more information about a session with me, I’d love to invite you to send a little note my way here.
