As your Washington, DC newborn photographer, I have your EDD on my calendar and am always looking forward to the text message telling me baby is here. I was so thrilled to hear with Baby L arrived! I’d been looking forward to meeting his sweet mama ever since she first reached out to book their session. She knew she wanted to document him in his first home, so about 4 weeks after his birth, I dropped by and documented this sweet boy!

Oh my goodness! Look at this little one’s beautiful eyes! Couldn’t you just stare at that beautiful face all day long?

If you’ve followed my work at all, you probably already know how I felt about this fur baby joining in on the sessions. And if you’re new here – the bottom line is – yes, please always add your pets to your sessions!! I just love working with dogs and babies. Seriously the sweetest thing to watch your family – including your doggo – learn who this new person is!

This is my favorite way to document newborns. Peacefully sleeping, completely natural. Perfect just the way they are!
