As your Washington, DC maternity photographer, I’m often asked where my favorite location is to photograph expectant mamas. Without question, the beach wins hands down! You can see another beach session here or here. I just love the symbolism of it – wild and unpredictable, just you and your little one out in the world. You’re out there showing him and protecting him as we celebrate his beautiful little life. Isn’t that what motherhood is?

This evening was absolutely heartwarming. I had the pleasure of meeting and working with the most beautiful and strong mother. You can just see it all over her – the strength and grace she brings to her work of mothering. It just fills my heart all the way up to get to show mothers how the rest of the world sees them.
