Though I primarily serve as a Washington, DC maternity photographer, I truly love every opportunity to get to travel with and for my clients. It’s always a joy to get to connect with other families who love to explore and want to bring some adventure to their maternity session. I was thrilled to document this gorgeous family’s maternity session in Venice, Italy, The City of Bridges. We almost had the beautiful St. Mark’s Square all to ourselves this winter morning. Not even the pigeons had arrived yet. (Funny story about those pigeons – ask me about my daughter’s role in this session as bird tamer.)

As we made our way to the Bridge of Sighs, Doge’s Palace, and Rialto Bridge, we made sure to document what it felt like to be in the city, but also the quiet connection between this mother and father. How special for this little one to one day look through these photographs and see his parents out exploring this enchanting city, just waiting for their adventure to begin with him.
