As a Washington, DC maternity and newborn photographer, I always love when couples choose to document their maternity. It’s such a special, fleeting time that you’ll want to look back on and remember. I also love the opportunity to get to hang out and get to know you a bit before your newborn session. I loved every single minute with these two.
We had to deal with a last-minute venue change and they handled it with grace. We ended up at Oatlands Historic House and I think it was the perfect location for them. There was lots of gorgeous green in the garden – but I love that the pond is frozen solid! After spending some time photographing them around the grounds of the estate, we moved to the greenhouse. Though it was a chilly day, the sun had warmed the greenhouse and it was warm and cozy. Mama changed her dress and kicked off her shoes. I love that we were able to add in a more intimate session.
I’ll be counting down the days waiting for a text letting me know that baby is here! I can’t wait to see them as a family of 3!
I would love to help you document your own family’s story. If you would like more information about a session with me, I’d love to invite you to send a little note my way here.
