As your Washington, DC maternity photographer, I absolutely love when I get to know you and your little family a bit before your newborn session. While things tend to slow down a bit at your newborn session, your maternity session is such a fun day to celebrate your life together. You get to choose a location that’s meaningful to you and you’ll have photographs there that will be so much fun to share with your child one day. You can climb mountains, or head to the desert, or go to the beach – or head off on an amazing baby moon. This session should be used as a time not just to document mom’s changing body, but also who you are – proof that you existed as a whole person before baby!

This mom and dad chose a location that suited their personality and interests and at the last minute decided to bring their dog. Absolutely – bring your dog to your maternity session!! I loved every minute of our rock scrambling time together and cannot wait to meet their little one in just a few short weeks!
