One of the most frequent questions I get is how old should baby be for his newborn session. I typically work with newborns when they’re 5-14 days old. As your Vienna, Virginia baby photographer, I can almost guarantee we’ll have a dreamy, sleepy baby in that timeframe (but of course, all babies are different and unpredictable!). If your heart is set on a gallery filled with a sleeping baby, I’d definitely encourage you to plan for that timeline. However, if you’re not quite up to it at that time, it’s really never too late! This little guy was about 5 weeks old for his session. He was so happy to snuggle up to his parents and enjoy a quiet morning together in the studio.
