I have had so much fun getting to know this family over the past year! I am so honored to have gotten to do a family session for them last September, a maternity session for them in the winter (featured by The Motherhood Anthology), and then help them welcome their newest baby boy in the spring. As a Washington, DC family photographer, I love getting to take clients to new places, and after getting to know big brother Henry, I knew he’d love the location I suggested for their final session. What little boy doesn’t like to wade in the river and throw rocks in the water?!

I love how you can really get a sense of what life is truly like for this family as they played by the river. Mom with baby, and Dad with big brother – everyone learning how to be a family of 4. These days are so very busy and full, but will be just a memory before you know it! What a joy it will be to look back on these photographs!
