Winter weather delayed this session 2 times, and though we had sub-freezing temperatures, I’m so glad we made it work this day! As a Washington, DC maternity photographer, this is my favorite location in the DMV. I love that it works beautifully all year long, but vibrant greens in the summer and cold greys in the winter. It makes for a stunning background for a couple who has a little bit of a sense of adventure.

This session was such a dream for me – Mom and Dad are just the greatest couple – and they brought along their dog, Poppy. If you’ve followed along here at all, you know how much I love getting to include pets in your session. I can’t wait to see all 3 of them in just a few short months. Poppy is going to be the best big sister!
