Just the day after I met this sweet couple for their maternity session, Mama sent me a text to tell me her water had broken and baby was on the way! This darling girl couldn’t wait one more day to meet her parents! One of my favorite parts of serving as a Northern Virginia newborn photographer is getting to hear the stories of how your babies were welcomed to the world.

It was just a few days since the last time I saw them, when Mom and Dad brought their beautiful baby girl to my studio. They shared that she was happiest in their arms or on her tummy. And so that is how she’s photographed. Because that’s what Mom and Dad will want to remember.

The newborn reflect to hold onto anything is so strong. I love to document this sweet details. It’s always a sweet moment during your session, and provides some perspective. In a few years you won’t believe just how tiny that little hand once was!
