This sweet couple came all the way from Germany for their Washington, DC engagement session. I was so honored to get to document the two of them exploring some of the iconic sites in the quiet sunrise hour. They climbed the marble steps of the US Capitol building and then admired the stunning Library of Congress. We made our way to the Tidal Basin and took in the view of the Washington Monument before walking through the columns of the Jefferson Memorial. The two of them were so much fun and I had the best time showing them around the city. And check out that silly squirrel who didn’t want to be left out of all the fun!

The smoke from the Canadian wildfires created a rosy glow over the city that morning. I just love the hazy glow it added to this late summer morning.
