The morning was spent with Mom and Dad up in the Alps, but we also needed a location that would be appropriate to include big brother. As your Garmisch family photographer, I can assure you that there are beautiful locations all over the area that are perfect for including a little one. I always suggest incorporating water with little ones because it’s universally fun and there are so many lakes and streams to choose from!

We were originally planning on having their session along the shore of the Eibsee, but unfortunately the shoreline was completely under water. We make a quick adjustment and ended up along this beautiful creek with a stunning sunset and mountain view. As your Garmisch family photographer, I’m always happy to scout out a location that’s perfect for your family and vision!

I love how as the sun sets the ray of light comes in from the side – it was an absolutely gorgeous evening. We had the best time letting big brother throw rocks into the creek and dip his toes in the water. Such a fun way to document some of the last days of being a family of 3.

Though we couldn’t quite make the Eibsee work for a family session, it’s just too beatiful of a location to ignore. So this adventurous Mom and I stopped by on our way out of town and took a little dip in the gorgeous blue water. Not nearly as cold as you’d think – and absolutely worth it!
