Getting to serve this couple as their Lauterbrunnen valley photographer was an absolute dream! I’ve had the joy of getting to know these two and document their growing family over the course of many years, beginning with their first child’s maternity session. When they shared that they were headed to Wengen, Switzerland and wanted to photograph their time there, I just knew we’d get to create some stunning art together!

After watching the weather for a few days prior to their trip, we finally decided that a mid-morning session would give us the best chance for a break in the clouds. Of course the moody fog and cloud cover is beautiful, but we really wanted to a view of the valley. I feel like we chose perfectly, we had an incredible view with just a few lingering clouds to really add to the feeling of the valley. As a Lauterbrunnen valley photographer, I know that the weather changes quickly, and in the few hours we were together, we had clouds, full sun, and rain. You’ll definitely want to be prepared for it all if you’re planning a photography session in the Swiss mountains.

We started our time together above the valley in Wengen then took a quick train ride down. We finished up our time together by strolling along the footpath on the valley floor. Loved getting to document both angles of this stunning Swiss landscape.
