I first met this family at their little one’s 9-month milestone session. I was so happy when Mama reached out to share the news that she was expecting her second. She is a talented photographer herself, and it’s always an honor to be trusted to document milestones and moments for another artist. As we began making plans for her maternity session, she shared that her family enjoys hiking and she wanted to be able to include their dog in their session. Though I wouldn’t normally recommend Great Falls for an expectant mama trying to juggle a toddler and a dog, we both felt confident her family could pull it off. And they absolutely did!
There were certainly moments of chaos! Both the toddler and dog wanted to do nothing but dig holes, get in the water, and climb the rocks (which would normally be fine, but you do have to be careful at this location). But just after the sun went down, our little guy was ready to snuggle with Mom and Dad and we took advantage of that soft light that comes with blue hour and documented a few sweet hugs.
I would love to help you document your own family’s story. If you would like more information about a session with me, I’d love to invite you to send a little note my way here.
