After a beautiful newborn session with this darling family a few months ago, I was thrilled to get to see them again! As your Northern Virginia newborn photographer, it is always such a joy to me to get to see your family grow together. This time, we focused on Mama and her sweet baby girl in a place that is special to them, their family’s beautiful vineyard.

We originally planned to celebrate their breastfeeding journey, but this little girl was so curious and excited, she didn’t have much interest in nursing. And that’s just fine! Sessions rarely go the way they’re planned. Mom and her girl just spent the quiet evening together. There are so many gestures and movements shared between a mother and her child. Often we don’t even realize how special and beautiful they are. The way both faces light up when they look at each other. The way a mother’s hand gently touches her baby’s face. These are all such sweet, beautiful moments that I long to preserve for you. Not for today, so much, as for tomorrow.
