This year has been full of changes and challenges for sure, and as a Washington DC newborn photographer, my clients and I have faced many!

I’ve loved watching how we have all adapted to life in 2020. Outdoor newborn sessions are one of the most beautiful adaptations I’ve seen families embrace in my own work. There’s just something about fresh babies and fresh air. As a newborn photographer in Washington, DC, I hope these never go away when we return to “normal.”

The way big brother’s hand gently touches mama’s face just melts my heart! What a beautiful moment of connection for this family.

As a Washington DC newborn photographer, I photograph babies of all ages. Older babies means you often get beautiful eye contact that often doesn’t happen when baby is fresh.

So many details! Big brother is making sure his new brother has all ten toes! And how heartwarming is it to see your oldest begin to connect with your baby?!

It’s so special to see a newborn’s hand wrapped around his mother’s finger. I love this perspective that shows just how tiny baby is while also showing the sweet mother/baby bond.

I always make sure to capture mama and her baby and dad and his babies. It’s such a gift for mothers to have these photographs that show their whole heart in one little space.
