This sweet family just melts my heart! As your Virginia newborn photographer, I love getting to know you and your family. The trust you place in me to share your space with you in intimate moments is never lost on me. There is just no bigger honor than after your maternity session to have you ask me to document your newborn as well.

When I met this family many months ago, we shivered and laughed our way through a wintertime beach session in Virginia Beach. You can see that session here. I had so much fun, but they were visiting from out of town and we did not have plans to connect again after their little one was born. Fast forward a few months, and this family ended up moving to the DC area and reached out to see if I had any availability for a session with their baby. You bet I cleared some space on the calendar for them!

We spent the first part of our time together making sure to document a little bit of the whole family. Don’t you love how older brothers can be more interested in a toy car than a new little person?! I just love seeing how older siblings react to a new baby in the house!

Then, we spent the rest of the time letting mama have some quiet time to connect with her newest love. This time is so hard to come by when you have a toddler at home. I love when I can create that quiet space for connection in a session. And I love even more that both mama and baby will have these photographs forever.
