As we approach fall family photo season, as your Washington, DC family photographer, I am keeping my eye out for all of the beautiful foliage. But, this mama specifically requested greens vs fall colors, and I was so happy to take her to the gorgeous Bishop’s Garden at the National Cathedral. These blooms won’t last much longer, but my goodness what beautiful color they add to this session!
This mother and I had been watching the weather for a few days hopeful that the hurricane storms would pass. But, the morning of the session, things were looking pretty awful. We cancelled and made plans to push back another week. By mid-afternoon things were clearing up and I was regretting the decision. Just as I was having these thoughts, Mom reached out and asked if we could move forward with the evening’s plans! Yes!! I’m so glad we did because look at this gorgeous, late summer light!
I just love the way mama’s face lights up when she’s with her girl!
Pretty soon she’ll be standing on her own. And it won’t take long until she’s walking, then running, away!
I would love to help you document your own family’s story. If you would like more information about a session with me, I’d love to invite you to send a little note my way here.
