As a Washington, DC family photographer, I always have my eye on the weather forecast. The summer time storms have been a real challenge this year and I do my very best to keep ahead of them! This poor family had to have a last-minute reschedule as the skies completely opened up on their originally scheduled date. I am so glad we fit their session in before these beautiful greens of summer are gone. What a gorgeous, sun-filled session this was!

Their little guy is 11-months old. In just a few short months he’ll be toddling – then running – in every direction. For now, he’s content to hang out in the arms of his favorite people. I’m so glad we were able to document these days. The time they fit so perfectly in your arms is just too short!

I love these little detail and portrait photographs of baby. Those darling eyelashes – can you ever get over just how perfect baby eyelashes are?! And I never want you to forget how baby used to grab his feet – one more little thing you’ll want to remember in 20 years!
