Not all little ones are excited to meet their new little sibling, and as your Washington, DC maternity photographer, I have seen all kinds of reactions! But this big-brother-to-be is ready! He had so much fun collecting rocks and flowers and loving on and being loved on by his parents during our time together! This was my first session of the fall season that really had some fall vibes to it. The weather wasn’t unbearable (though we did have to wipe off a little extra glisten!). If you look closely, you can see the slightest bit of fall color on the tops of the trees. The color doesn’t do it for me, but my goodness I am so ready for evenings spent with you and your family without sweat and bugs!

We went out to Manassas National Battlefield Park for this session. Mama requested long grasses, and the battefield always delivers! Long grasses that turn golden in the setting sun look so gorgeous – and it’s always nice to get out of the city!

I had so much fun with this little family and just cannot wait to see them in a few weeks with a brand new baby!

Oh I just love these little details. That bright, wavy hair, those tiny tones, mom’s and dad’s hands as they hold their first little boy tight.
