What venue to use for your maternity session is definitely one of the top 3 questions I get asked. As a maternity photographer serving the Washington, DC area, I can’t suggest the National Arboretum enough. Though it comes with a permit fee, an evening spent alone at the arboretum is such a special way to spend one of your last evening together before baby arrives. While there are hundreds of acres to choose from, most of my clients prefer the Capitol Columns. And I agree! You have the perfect nod to DC, but with added privacy that comes from the park.

I had the best evening with these two mamas! We had soft light and a gentle breeze – the perfect combination for stunning photographs!
