As a Washington, DC maternity photographer, it is such a joy to get to document your sweet journey to motherhood. Quiet, intimate studio sessions like this one are such a lovely way to celebrate the changes your body makes to provide the perfect home for your little one. Soon the gentle curve of your belly will be gone and though you’re holding your baby in your arms, you’ll miss feeling those kicks from the inside out. These months feel long – lengthened by the sense of anticipation – but they’re truly just a sliver of time. I love when women choose to document them – to have the choice to revisit them in their mind – whenever they want.
