I had such an amazing evening documenting this family’s maternity session at the US National Arboretum and was so thrilled to get the text message saying Baby T was here! As your Washington, DC newborn photographer, I am so happy to offer studio sessions, but I always love when families choose to document their baby in his first home.

While I often photographer babies when they are 5-14 days old, there’s no reason not to wait a little longer. Baby T is about 6 weeks old here and he spent about as much time awake as he did asleep. It’s always special to be able to document those wide-eyed looks from your tiny person. Sometimes they can’t take their eyes off my camera, and sometimes they only have eyes for Mama!
