As your Washington, DC maternity photographer, I am always looking for new and beautiful locations for your sessions. A few years ago I had the opportunity to work at the Spanish Steps in Rome, so when I heard DC had its own version, I had to check it out! DC’s version is a small terrace set in Kalorama. It’s so fun to be in this part of the city – the diplomatic residences and embassies make it feel a bit European. So while we’re all still somewhat grounded due to Covid travel restrictions, this location was the perfect way to add a bit of a romantic, European feel to this DC session.
Mom chose a beautiful Doen dress from the client wardrobe. This dress has so many feminine details. The dainty floral print, the fabric-covered buttons, and the perfectly ruffled sleeves make this the perfect summertime dress. We added a handful of wild greenery and a lovely sunhat to complete the look for mom. Doesn’t she look absolutely stunning?!
I would love to help you document your own family’s story. If you would like more information about a session with me, I’d love to invite you to send a little note my way here.
Did you know my studio wardrobe is available to all of my clients? I know how challenging it can be to find pieces that you love for an ever-changing body. My studio wardrobe is a well-curated collection of boutique and designer dresses for both new and expectant mothers. I also have beautiful options for children up to around age 8.
