As your Washington, DC newborn photographer, one of the most common questions I get from clients is whether or not they should do an in-home or studio session. There are benefits to both, but I feel like there’s nothing more touching than photographs of your baby in her first home.
Studio sessions are a great option when you aren’t quite sure if your home has the space or lighting to accommodate a photography session. However, if you’ve spent 9 months nesting and want to showcase the nursery you’ve built for baby, an in-home session is for you! Even if your home isn’t filled with light, if we prepare, I can bring the ncessary lighting equipment to help add light to your space.
I love that this family chose to document their 3rd little girl in her first home. What a wonderful gift for her. One day she’ll be able to share these photographs with her own children. They’ll love seeing the room their mama grew up in!
I would love to help you document your own family’s story. If you would like more information about a session with me, I’d love to invite you to send a little note my way here.
Did you know my studio wardrobe is available to all of my clients? I know how challenging it can be to find pieces that you love for an ever-changing body. My studio wardrobe is a well-curated collection of boutique and designer dresses for both new and expectant mothers. I also have beautiful options for children up to around age 8. You can read more about my studio wardrobe here and see a gallery of dresses available to you here.
