As a Virginia maternity photographer, I have been fortunate to get to meet and work with some incredible birth workers. Lauren, of Fairfax Birth Care, is one of those incredible women. If you are expecting and looking for childbirth education classes, I’d definitely recommend taking one of her classes!

Lauren’s family is growing and I had the honor of documenting a few moments of her with her husband and their little boy. I love how connected and intimate this morning was. This little guy moved between cuddling with mom to exploring the studio and we just let him move about as he chose. When he was off exploring the contents of a drawer or having a snack, Dad would sneak in and spend a few quiet moments with his beautiful wife. Having a toddler at home can make it hard to make time for a maternity session – but I truly believe every baby and pregnancy should be celebrated. I’m so glad we were able to spend a few minutes together to document these last few weeks of waiting.
