Before spending a year in Israel, I would have firmly been on the mountains side of the beach vs mountains debate. But gosh, the beach is truly a special place. It’s constantly changing – you just never know what you’ll find when you walk out there – I suppose I should have learned to interpret the tide forecasts – but I love the surprise!

This beach is one of my favorites – the winding, sandy trail can be a challenge, but it’s always worth it when you get your first glimpse of the sea. With all of my outdoor sessions, I make sure to capture a few wide, environmental portraits like the ones below – the “where” tells so much of your story and I want you to have it captured forever.

Look at this little face – independent and brave – but needing just a bit of comfort from mama!

Though I do capture a few images of everyone looking at the camera – most of our time will be spent with you just loving on your people. I want you to see what the rest of the world sees – how your babies look at you – and how your face lights up when you look at them. When you look at your images in 20 years, I want you to be able to feel what it was like to have that baby on your hip – her little fingers forever stuck in your hair.

I love love love Dad’s hand on baby’s foot here! Gah!! It’s moments like that – that you don’t even realize are happening – that I want you to see and remember forever!

Side note – Did you know that I provide clothing for mamas and babies up to around age 8? It took less than 30 minutes for this family of 5 to have their whole wardrobe sorted out – one less thing on the to-do list!!
