When this mother reached out and told me she wanted a family session in a field, I knew exactly where I’d suggest. As your Northern Virginia family photographer, the fields surrounding the Manassas National Battlefield are one of my favorite locations. I love the long grasses and the rolling hills. If you’re lucky, you can see just the tops of the Blue Ridge Mountains off in the distance.

This family asked if if would be ok to include their dog in their session. If you’ve been following me along for awhile now, you already know what my answer was. I absolutely love when families add their pets. They’re such an important part of your lives and I just love documenting how you interact with them. Even more fun is documenting your little ones with your pets. They’re often their first best friend and I know one day those photographs will mean so much to all of you!
