If I could give my families one piece of advice, it would be to relax and go with the flow! This session was originally scheduled for a wooded area – we envisioned beams of sunlight streaming through the trees. It was going to be magical! However, the fog rolled in as we drove to the location, and we knew we’d have to find another option. This family didn’t hesitate to switch gears and trusted me as we headed across the street.

Though still covered in heavy fog, we opted to use the beach as the backdrop for this session. The kids were thrilled to get to explore and play and Mom and Dad trusted me to make it work!

It’s my goal to create an experience for you and your family – not just photographs. We’ll go somewhere beautiful and let you soak it all in with your people. I work to produce a gallery of images that will tell the story of the afternoon you spent with your family. I want you to play and explore and chase your kids and hug your husband. I’ll document those sandy toes and sticky fingers. Your little boy’s sticky hands in your hair and the look on her face as your little girl looks up at you – these are the real moments of your family’s life. Though I know everyone wants the perfect looking-at-the-camera portrait (and we’ll take one of those), I can promise you, that in 20 years, it’s these real moments that will melt your mama heart.
