I am sure that welcoming a baby in the middle of this pandemic is full of challenges. It can be an isolating and frightening few weeks or months in the best of times. And now, there is mourning over lost time with family as many grandparents who would have normally come to welcome baby have not been able to do so. As a Washington DC newborn photographer I have heard so many of my clients share these worries and struggles with me.

Though the pandemic continues to make life a little harder, what a blessing these babies are to your family. And what a joy it is to meet your little one, hear your birth story and chat about some of the little joys of motherhood. Even if Grandma and Grandpa cannot come to visit this tiny person just yet, I’m so honored to be able to create photographs that they can enjoy as well. These images that will be so valuable to your family in the future as you yearn to look back on these newborn days, are equally as priceless now as they serve to bridge the distance between family.
