As a Virginia Beach newborn photographer, I’m always thrilled when I get the chance to document a sweet little one with his family on the beach. There’s just something about the wildness of the beach! You see Mama protecting her little one from the wind, and Dad so naturally leans in to Mama to help steady her and keep her safe. You see families interacting and engaging naturally and that’s as beautiful as it gets!

I first met this family several months ago as we documented their final few days as a family of 2. You can see their maternity session here. What a sweet difference 4 short months can make!

It’s such a joy to watch you grow into motherhood. From the way you embrace your changing body with pregnancy, to those first early, hazy days with your newborn in your arms, I am always in awe of the grace and strength in which mothers take on their new role. You can certainly see that beauty and strength in this mama.
