As your Washington, DC newborn photographer, I love hearing all of the details that make your pregnancy and birth story yours. At their studio maternity session, this mama shared that they chose not to know their little one’s gender. It made all of those months of waiting even more exciting. I was thrilled to get the text that baby was here!

Mom and Dad had their doctor send the gender information to a dear friend who kept it close, but also ordered this beautiful personalized sweater. She sent the sweater to Mom and Dad who took it, still wrapped up, to the hospital, and opened it for Wynnie to wear home. Isn’t that the sweetest story?! And the cutest sweater? On the most perfect little girl!

I know how much Mama loved the film images from her maternity session, so made sure to shoot a few rolls of film when she had her baby in her arms. What an absolute dream of session!
