As a Virginia Beach maternity photographer, it is afternoons like this that I hope to give to my clients. We met in late November, the offseason for beachgoers, which meant that we had chilly weather, but we had the entire beach to ourselves. This lovely couple could really lean into each other and the moment together. Not only were we documenting the joy and hope that comes along with waiting to meet the little one you are carrying, but mom and dad were able to relax and enjoy each other and the beauty of an empty beach. It was such a pleasure to watch them connect with each other – feel the soft sand under their feet, watch the dolphins play just beyond the surf, and test the temperature of the salty water.

It was such a dark and foggy day, but the heavy cloud and fog cover truly added to the session, creating an even more intimate and private setting. You can really feel the connection between this mother, father, and their little one.
